Pope Francis meets refugees at the Moria refugee camp on the island of Lesbos, Greece, in this April 16, 2016, file photo. In an interview with an Italian government journal, the pope said his visit to Lesbos and his 2013 visit to Lampedusa, Italy, were meant to show that all religions want “to ensure a dignified life for every man, woman and child who is forced to abandon his or her own land.” (CNS photo/Paul Haring)

Pope Francis launched a global campaign in September 2017 to support our brothers and sisters who have fled their homes seeking a decent and safe life for their families. This historic campaign, “Share the Journey,” responds to some of the most desperate of God’s children.

The Share the Journey global migration campaign is sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)/Migration and Refugee Services, Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS). Internationally, it is sponsored by Caritas Internationalis.

Through prayers and acts of compassion and support, you can help shape conversations and actions to answer the Gospel call to love our neighbors. We hope that every parish and school in our diocese will be inspired to show our love for our brothers and sisters who have fled their homes seeking safety and hope for the future around the world and here in the U.S.
