Annual Hispanic Mass Celebrates Faith and Diversity

Who:               Bishop Gregory Parkes, Hispanic Catholics and clergy

What:             Annual Hispanic Mass, to be celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Carmel of the Maipú, the patroness of Chile.

When:             Saturday, October 14, 4:00 p.m.

Where:            Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, 5815 5th Avenue North, St. Petersburg

Why:               The annual Hispanic Mass is an opportunity for the community to gather with Bishop Parkes to celebrate the many contributions of the Hispanic Catholic community to building up the local Church in the five counties of West Central Florida. This is the first Hispanic Mass with Bishop Parkes in St. Petersburg.

The number of Hispanic Catholics continues to increase within the Diocese of St. Petersburg. There are 461,209 Catholics in the Tampa Bay area.
