St. Timothy Catholic Church

St. Timothy has an opening for a Coordinator of Faith Formation.  This is a full-time position with benefits that serves the Pre-K through 5th grade formation initiatives reporting to the Director of Faith Formation.  The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate with parents, catechists, volunteers, and other parish ministers to provide an engaging and effective process for faith formation, sacramental preparation (Baptism, First Holy Communion, First Reconciliation, RCIA), Vacation Bible School, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, as well as initiatives for those who do family formation in the home. Responsibilities also include recruiting, training, and supporting catechists and faith formation volunteers.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic living the within the teachings of the Church, and, who has catechetical experience.  The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in theology, and it is preferred that they have completed the Diocesan Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute Program (LPMI), and/or earned a Master Catechist Certificate. The candidate should be familiar with current technology and social media. Communication and time management skills are a must!

Candidate must successfully complete a Level II FBI background screening and complete Safe Environment Training. The person called to this ministry should be capable of providing a Safe Environment for all involved.
