USF Catholic Student Center

The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Business Manager to execute the development, stewardship, and advancement efforts of the Catholic Student Center at the University of South Florida. The position is responsible for assisting with securing financial resources to support the mission and objectives, as established by the Development Advisory Committee and the Director of the Catholic Student Center.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Seek opportunities to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects to develop a foundation for continual financial, philanthropic support
• Execute the development plan for the Catholic Student Center
• Ensure implementation of the fundraising and stewardship plans through interaction with staff, students, and volunteers
• Maintain donor profiles
• Assist in establishing future fundraising goals
• Assist in expanding the Our Lady of Angels major gift giving program
• Mentor student leaders on the development efforts for the mission
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission and vision

Requirements and Competencies:
• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word
• Excellent professional and effective communication skills
• Exceptional organization and initiative skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet CSC driving guidelines
• Must meet Diocese of St. Petersburg Safe Environment requirements

Work Environment:
• Mostly office setting with occasional outdoors-remote
• Must be flexible in work location placement as needed for development needs
• Work 15-20 hours a week with a flexible schedule/hour based on development needs
• Occasional lifting required (typically under 30 pounds)
