St. John Vianney Catholic Church in St. Pete Beach, Florida, is seeking a full-time Director of Music who will plan and coordinate liturgical music, play the organ and piano, sing, and direct our choirs (youth and adult). This position will be responsible for recruiting cantors, instrumentalists, and choir members, as well as managing the music budget and securing necessary copyright permissions. This position is full-time with benefits.

Requirements:

• An active, practicing Catholic
• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in music or related field
• Experience in Catholic music ministry
• Knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgy and Church documents related to the liturgy
• Ability to adapt traditional and contemporary musical styles
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Candidate must successfully pass a Level II FBI background screening and complete Safe Environment Training prior to employment.
