St. Jerome Parish

St. Jerome Catholic Church is currently accepting applications for a part-time Parish Rectory Cook.  The normal work week would be Monday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. 

Responsibilities include:               

  • Preparation of main meal for the clergy, to be served at 12:30 PM on Monday and 5:00 PM Tuesday through Friday.  Meal should be delicious and nutritious and include a main dish of either a red meat, pork, chicken, fish (especially Fridays), a vegetable, a starch, a salad and a dessert.
  • Weekly shopping for preparation of all meals and any special needs or items requested by the clergy (Publix card provided).
  • Cleaning the kitchen and dining room once the meal has concluded, including floors.
  • Special events (from time to time) to include any Bishop’s dinners, and dinners for our Advent and Lenten Penance services.

Pay rate: $12.50/hour. Time sheets submitted to parish manager weekly

Candidate must successfully complete a Level II FBI Background screening and complete Safe Environment Training.
