Congratulations on your decision to marry. It is our pleasure to assist with your sacramental preparation. You can obtain the current brochure by clicking Remarriage 2022.
Below are the answers to some questions couples often have about the program.
Who should attend the program?
Regardless of circumstances, this program is intended for couples where one or both individuals have been previously married.
Can we attend if one or both of us are waiting for an annulment?
Yes…as long as this is okay with the priest or deacon assisting with your sacramental preparation.
What does it entail?
Each lecture-style half day workshop is presented by marriage and family therapists who will cover the topics of: Family of Origin; Communication; The Many Moods of Marriage. **If the husband and/or wife have minor/dependent children from a previous relationship they are also required to attend session 4 on Blended Families.
Do we need to attend all four sessions?
In order to receive a certificate of completion, all couples are expected to attend sessions 1, 2, & 3. Those with minor/dependent children from a previous relationship are also expected to attend Session 4 on Blended Families*.
*Due of the content of this session it can be waived for couples with adult/independent children.
Do we both have to attend ?
In order to adequately prepare for your future together, it is always best when marriage preparation is done as a couple. Occasionally, extenuating circumstances might exist that prevent this from happening. Should this be the case, please contact us for further discussion.
Do sessions need to be taken in order?
No. You’re welcome to attend sessions in any order.
What time does each session begin and end?
Each session begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 12:00 noon.
What is the cost?
The per couple cost is $125.00 for those required to attend all 4 sessions – $105.00 for those that are eligible for 3 sessions.
What is included?
The fee includes all program materials and continental breakfast.
When is the Remarriage Program offered?
Each series of workshops is offered three (3) times throughout the year…Winter, Summer, and Fall

What if the deadline has passed?
Yes…but just a reminder that space is always subject to availability and a late fee will apply
Should we check availability before submitting our registration?
Actually…it’s better to just submit your paperwork. Be mindful that couples are confirmed in the order applications are received. The time spent waiting for a response might be the difference between whether or not we can accommodate you, especially when space is limited. Penalties only go into affect once couples are confirmed.
How will we know if we’re confirmed?
Once your paperwork is processed, written notification will be sent to each e-mail address provided. This will acknowledge receipt of you application, confirm the date for which you are registered, and give any additional information you need to be aware of. Every attempt is made to accommodate couples for their preferred date
Where is the program held?
The program is typically held at our retreat center in Lutz. Each session begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 noo
Will child care be available?
While we support family life and love children, regardless of circumstances we are unable to accommodate them during this program. Our main concern is for their safety. Not only must we uphold the diocesan guidelines for Safe Environment, but the retreat center also isn’t equipped with the necessary space to accommodate such needs.
Who do we contact if we have questions or need further assistance?
All contact regarding should be with the Office of Marriage & Family Life. The best way to reach us is by email as we have access to this from off-site locations. Please contact Debbie Alexander at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at 727 – 341 – 6847.
