The Office of Stewardship and Development is responsible for providing the

leadership,

coordination,

management

& supervision

for development efforts for the Diocese of St. Petersburg into an annual plan synchronized with the overall strategic plan of the Diocese in order to help individuals, families and communities understand and contextualize planned, proportionate and sacrificial giving, recognizing the individual donor intent as the primary focus of its ministry.

Using the guidelines provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Ad Hoc Committee on Stewardship, the

of the Diocese of St. Petersburg Stewardship and Development Office include:

  • Provide best practices, marketing and communication materials for the Annual Pastoral Appeal
  • Work with parishes to implement the recommended plan for success

  • Serve as a resource for parishes on all matters surrounding stewardship education, accountability and funding efforts including offertory increase programs, to full stewardship training
  • Facilitate stewardship education and formation opportunities for parishes and ministries of the Diocese

 

Gift AcceptanceA gift for you

  • Provide accounting and administrative support of donation acceptance services for major development efforts in the Diocese of St. Petersburg through the Campaign Processing Office
  • Serve as the primary resource at the diocesan and parish levels for all gift acceptance and acknowledgement standards and best practices
  • Provide transparency and accountability communications to donors and parishes to improve overall relationship

  • Oversee Forward in Faith Campaign activities including diocesan and parish level follow-up efforts
  • Update donors on project progress

  • Plan and implement the Special Collection for seminarians in collaboration with the Vocations Office

  • Plan and implement parish level major gift cultivation and solicitation training as requested by pastors
  • Develop a diocesan plan for parish capital campaigns and work with Bishop’s Office to coordinate service
  • Serve as a resource for parish capital expense efforts including fundraising and professional counsel recommendations
