The Chancellor’s Office informs that Ms. Maria Garvey, 51, sister of Father Joseph T. Eddy, O. de M., Parochial Vicar of St. John Vianney Parish, St. Pete Beach, passed away early Saturday afternoon, July 18, 2026, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, following a lengthy battle with significant health issues. She is survived by her three children, Anthony, Nicholas, and Max, along with her parents, her brother, Father Eddy, and other extended family members and loved ones.

A Memorial Mass will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
