Bishop Gregory Parkes is the spiritual leader of the Catholic faithful of the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Serving as a pastor or shepherd, a diocesan bishop is concerned for all the souls entrusted to his care, this includes those who are no longer practicing the Catholic faith, have never been introduced to the faith or have no faith. Bishops have the three-fold responsibility of governing, shepherding and teaching.
