Christopher Pastura

Superintendent

Mr. Pastura has more than 30 years of experience in Catholic education and has been the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of St. Petersburg since 2015. He has worked as a teacher, coach, and administrator at Catholic high schools in St. Petersburg (FL), Covington (KY), and Cincinnati (OH). In addition to educational roles, he has also worked as a lay missionary in northeast Brazil, youth minister, and professional musician. 

Mr. Pastura holds a Bachelors degree in Theology and a Masters degree in Educational Administration, both from Xavier University, as well as a Masters degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Pastura and his wife, Regiane, have two children.

Dr. Ann Davis

Associate Superintendent

Dr. Davis has devoted more than 40 years to Catholic education, most of them serving schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. She began her career as an elementary teacher before moving into school leadership, serving for more than 20 years as principal of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School.

After relocating to Florida, Dr. Davis served as principal of Incarnation Catholic School before joining the Diocese of St. Petersburg in August 2016 as Associate Superintendent.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Quincy University, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from University of Missouri–St. Louis, and a Ph.D. in Education from Saint Louis University.

Brenda Budd

Associate Superintendent

Mrs. Budd has dedicated more than 20 years to serving the Diocese of St. Petersburg and currently serves as Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools and Centers. Throughout her career, she has led and supported Catholic education as Principal of St. Joseph Catholic School and as both a teacher and Assistant Principal at Morning Star Catholic School.

A proud product of the Diocese, Mrs. Budd attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and Academy of the Holy Names. She earned an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and a master’s certificate in Nonprofit Management.

A lifelong learner with a deep passion for education, Mrs. Budd enjoys sharing that commitment with her husband of more than 30 years, a college professor, and their three children.

Deborah Suddarth

Associate Superintendent

Ms. Suddarth has devoted her career to Catholic education, serving as a teacher, principal, and Associate Superintendent for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. She later worked with the National Teachers Academy in partnership with DePaul University, supporting future educators through the nationally recognized AUSL residency program for teachers serving high-need communities.

After relocating to Florida to be closer to family, Ms. Suddarth served as principal of St. Michael Academy for eight years and St. Joseph Catholic School for ten years before becoming Associate Superintendent for the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from University of St. Francis and both her Master of Education and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees from Indiana State University.

Toni Johnston

Office Manager

Ms. Johnston is a proud St. Petersburg native whose love for Catholic education began at St. Paul Catholic School and St. Petersburg Catholic High School before graduating from Wingate University. Since 2004, she has served the Diocese in roles ranging from teacher assistant to Early Childhood Director before joining the Office of Catholic Schools and Centers in 2017. She is passionate about supporting students, families, and educators and values the relationships built through Catholic education.

Outside of work, Ms. Johnston enjoys spending time with her three children, all of whom are products of a Catholic education in the Diocese of St. Petersburg through high school, and celebrating their accomplishments.

Angie Ford

Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Ford began her ministry in Catholic education in 2017 as a parish administrator in Monroe, Louisiana. In 2021, she relocated to St. Petersburg with her husband, Michael, and served as a diocesan receptionist before joining the Office of Catholic Schools and Centers in May 2026.

A graduate of St. Frederick Catholic High School, Mrs. Ford earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northeast Louisiana University. Her commitment to Catholic education is deeply rooted in family life. Her daughter teaches at Morning Star Catholic School, and her son-in-law teaches at Sacred Heart Catholic School, where her granddaughters are also students.
