World Mission Sunday
Each year in October, the Church throughout the world comes together to support missionaries with prayers and contributions to the special collection for World Mission Sunday. Through contributions to this collection, the faithful support the missions and missionaries who build up the Church in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, Latin America, and parts of Europe. This collection is handled by the Pontifical Mission Societies and more information and resources can be found at their website at this link.
World Mission Sunday Posters
Even though this collection is included in the diocesan schedule of special collections, the posters for the collection are available during the summer previous to the collection in October. Parishes will receive a communication so they can choose the poster that they would like to promote this important collection.

The schedule of Special Collections for 2027 (according to the USCCB Collections Schedule), along with an explanatory memo and request for advertising and collection materials was emailed and mailed to parishes on February 24, 2026. Below are the documents included in the mailing.
