As the academic year draws to a close, the Diocese of Saint Petersburg is proud to announce the commencement of the 2025 high school graduation season. This year’s ceremonies will honor the remarkable achievements and resilience of students, who have navigated a year filled with many challenges, including the hurricane season of 2024 that impacted so many lives in our community.

Despite the obstacles faced, our students have demonstrated dedication, faith, and perseverance. Their hard work and commitment have culminated in this momentous occasion, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Superintendent Chris Pastura expressed heartfelt congratulations to the graduating class, stating, “This year has tested our resolve in ways we never imagined. Yet, our students have risen to the occasion, showing grace, strength, and determination. Graduation is not just a celebration of academic success, but a testament to their resilience and hope for the future.”

There are seven Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Saint Petersburg.

  • Academy of the Holy Names High School, Tampa (9-12 Girls Only)
  • Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School, Spring Hill (9-12 Co-ed)
  • Clearwater Central Catholic High School, Clearwater (9-12 Co-ed)
  • Cristo Rey High School, Tampa (9-12 Co-ed)
  • Jesuit High School, Tampa (9-12, Boys Only)
  • St. Petersburg Catholic High School, St. Petersburg (9-12, Co-ed)
  • Tampa Catholic High School, Tampa (9-12, Co-ed)

Each of these schools will hold a Baccalaureate Mass and a graduation ceremony for students, families, and friends May 15-31, 2025. A Baccalaureate Mass is the last time graduating seniors will be together for the celebration of Mass as one student body. During the Mass, prayers are offered to thank God for the past academic year and to ask God’s blessings upon the graduates.

Teachers, families, and faculty are also recognized for their dedication to helping students succeed. The graduation season is a time to celebrate not only the achievements of our students but also the collective effort of educators, families, and the entire community.
