Share Christ’s Love with Victims of Hurricane Ian

“Our hearts are moved with compassion for all those who have suffered damage and destruction due to Hurricane Ian, especially our brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Venice,” said Bishop Gregory Parkes in a September 30th letter to all parishes in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
One hundred percent of the disaster relief funds will benefit people and the Church affected by natural disasters, including those impacted by Hurricane Ian in our own diocese. Since 2017, the Diocese of St. Petersburg has donated over $1 million for disaster relief thanks to the generosity of our parishioners. Click here to read more. A Prayer for Victims of Disaster
Loving God, we pray for those who have been affected by recent disasters especially the hurricane that ravaged part of Southwest Florida. We also pray for all those around the world who suffer from floods, droughts and disasters. Break open our hearts to allow the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters to move us to bold, prophetic action so that all victims will know of your great love, mercy and compassion. Amen.
