Discipleship Day
The Diocese of St. Petersburg announces the first-ever Discipleship Day! Join parish leaders from across the five counties of West Central Florida at one of the three empowerment sessions to focus on growing our ministries and making disciples. Our keynote speaker is Father Leo Patalinhug, an engaging national speaker who has appeared on various Catholic and secular television programs. He developed a thriving ministry called Plating Grace that seeks to strengthen families and increase devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist, and was also recently selected by the U.S. Bishops to serve as a Eucharistic Preacher during the National Eucharistic Revival. This free event, funded by the Catholic Ministry Appeal, will help you cultivate servant leaders who live out their baptismal calling, nurture disciples through vibrant encounters and empower communities to become missionary-focused. Discipleship Day is your day to focus on what works in this post-pandemic, digital age. We don’t want to return to normal; we want to unlock the potential for amazing ministry now and in the future! Please note that due to limited space, registration is limited each day as follows: – 5 people per parish – 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023, at St. Timothy Parish, Lutz – 5 people per parish – 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Clearwater – 5 people per parish for English Track – 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Bishop McLaughlin High School, Spring Hill – 5 people per parish for Spanish Track – 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Bishop McLaughlin High School, Spring Hill Parish groups are encouraged to attend this event on the same day.
