It is time to move ahead with a “Post-Pandemic Reboot” of the Parish Plans for Courageously Living the Gospel!

We are seeing an eminent return to additional ways, including in-person activities, to meet and live as Disciples of Jesus. Now is a great time to prepare the parish leaders & the entire parish community to continue their efforts to Proclaim, Invite and Encounter–Our Sacred Purpose!

The Missionary Discipleship Toolshed is a one-stop collection of current and ongoing free programs, events, tools for ministry formation and parishioner formation to prepare all as Missionary Disciples equipped for Courageously Living the Gospel! The categories are developed with particular audiences or purposes in mind as a suggested application and implementation guide. Every pastor and parish leadership team is encouraged to design its own Goals and Strategies suited to the particular parish circumstances. As always, assistance is available by contacting Brian Lemoi at the Pastoral Center for the Diocese of St. Petersburg at BAL@DOSP.org or 727-341-4203

Free Courses for Individuals or Parish Leadership Teams

The Diocese of St. Petersburg has entered into a collaborative initiative that provides free learning and training tools that can be utilized in a number of ways for the formation of individuals, ministry leaders, the whole congregation and for particular programs within the parishes ministries.

Revive’s Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship Content

Alpha for Catholics

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a parish tool for evangelization where everyone is welcome. The same Alpha content is run all over the world, by Catholics and other Christians of all traditions, sharing the good news of Jesus. Each session has three key ingredients:

Hospitality

Whether in person over a meal or virtually with a cup of tea, all sessions start with a time to connect, relax, and build friendships. Eating food together creates space for people to connect and share life on a deeper level.

Talk

The Alpha talks are designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith and unpack the basics of Christian belief, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”

Discussion

The discussion time is an opportunity for people to respond to the talk, hear from others, and contribute their own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.
