With the growing concern for the protection of all our healthcare workers, we call upon anyone who is able to help make reusable masks. Several of our parishes and schools have launched efforts to help in this endeavor. If you know of other parishes or schools helping organize this critical need, please email the information to communicate@dosp.org and it will be added to this page.

Hope for Tampa – this website is coordinating an effort to make masks for medical personnel in the greater Tampa Bay area. On their website find tutorials, drop off sites and more information.

Academy of the Holy Names

Sr. Lisa Perkowski from the Academy of the Holy Names has put together resources and there are several patterns online. Completed masks may be either given directly to any healthcare workers you know, or delivered to the school lobby Monday-Friday between 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Materials can be made available upon request. JOANN fabrics is donating precut materials for masks for all volunteers.

The Academy is accepting t-shirt donations to make masks. Gently used shirts may be dropped off in the school lobby Monday-Friday between 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The Academy’s address is: 3319 Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33629.

Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Temple Terrace

One of Corpus Christi’s parishioners works in the ER at one of our local hospitals. She is asking for volunteers to sew masks for their medical personnel. Find directions and dimensions below.
