Mrs. Mary “Anne” Hoscheidt

The Chancellor’s Office received the news of the passing of Mary “Anne” (née Mouch) Hoscheidt on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in Bloomington, Illinois. She was the sister of Monsignor Frank Mouch, retired priest of the Diocese of Venice, residing in our diocese.
She was born on July 6, 1929, in Sandusky, Ohio to Charles and Eleanor (née Messman) Mouch, Anne spent her childhood on the shores of Lake Erie alongside her four siblings, Charles Mouch, Monsignor Frank Mouch, Barbara “Barb” Hamilton and Christine “Chris” DalPonte. Anne was a loving wife to his her husband of 71 years, William “Bill” Hoscheidt, mother to five children, John (JoAnn) Hoscheidt of Ballwin, Missouri; Mary “Jane” (Cordel) Musch, of The Villages, Florida; Thomas “Tom” (Constance) Hoscheidt of Lisle, Illinois; David Hoscheidt and Charles “Chuck” (Deborah) Hoscheidt of Bloomington, Illinois. She was also a beloved grandmother to 13 grandchildren, as well as a great-grandmother to eight with two on the way. In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, Anne was a community leader and member of a number of organizations. She was deeply devoted to her faith and encouraged kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Mouch.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for immediate family.
