Florida Amendment 4

An extremely grave amendment has been placed on the November 2024 ballot that inserts language into the Florida Constitution banning regulation of abortion. This amendment to the Florida constitution would allow abortion up until birth.

St. Damien of Moloka’i, put himself at risk to minister to those suffering from Hansen’s disease, or Leprosy, in Hawaii. The love and courage he showed, is an example for us all!

May 12- Ascension of the Lord

✝️ Today is the Solemnity of the Ascension of our Lord into Heaven. Jesus’s return to heaven stands as a sign of hope for us that where he has gone, we also may follow.

What a great promise Christ has given us that we who believe will be taken home to be in His presence and to glorify the Father forever.


May 13- Our Lady of Fatima

Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima! This day celebrates the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima to the shepherd children in Portugal in 1917.

Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday where we remember that God sent down the Holy Spirit to dwell in the Apostles and ultimately dwell within and among us. Come, Holy Spirit!

May 20- Solemnity of Mary, Mother of the Church

Today we celebrate the Memorial for The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church! This memorial was added by Pope Francis in 2018 to be celebrated every year on the Monday after Pentecost. Just as Mary is Mother for each of us, she is Mother of the Church throughout the entire world.

Today’s Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrates the divine presence of Jesus, even in the womb! We ask God to help us recognize Him in all those around us and give us the same spirit of joy that John the Baptist expressed as he leaped in his mother’s womb.
