Introduction

The Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg, our Office of Catholic Schools and Centers, and our other subsidiary organizations (collectively, “DOSP”) are committed to respecting your privacy. Should you choose to provide us with any personal information, you can be assured that it will only be used by DOSP to conduct official business, and personal information will never be disseminated to any unaffiliated third party.

Information Gathering

Some data collected on this site is the kind generally referred to as personally identifiable information. Examples can include your full name, home address, email address, date of birth, credit card number or telephone number.

DOSP does not collect personally identifiable information through this website except when individuals specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis. For example, such personally identifiable information may be gathered from an e-mail request for information or service from an agency or ministry of DOSP.

By voluntarily providing us with personally identifiable information, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this privacy policy. If you provide personally identifiable information to this website, you acknowledge and agree that such information may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of DOSP.

Other data we collect through this site is non-personally identifiable information and it cannot be used to identify you. Examples of this kind of information include your IP address, what pages on the site you view, your browser type, and so on. We use IP addresses (the internet address of your computer) to help diagnose problems with our servers and to administer our website. For instance, we run statistical software to identify which parts of our website are most heavily used and which portion of our audience comes from within our own network. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.

Use of Information

If you provide personally identifiable information for a certain reason, we may use that information for the reason it was provided. If you ask to receive communications from us, each communication you receive will contain instructions allowing you to opt out of receiving future communications. DOSP may also use your personally identifiable information and other information you provide to help us improve the content and functionality of this website, to better understand our users, and to help improve the services and programs that DOSP provides.

Like many organizations, we sometimes hire companies to perform certain business-related functions such as maintaining databases and processing payments. When we contract with another company to perform functions of this nature, we only provide them with the data that they need to perform that specific function, and we require them to keep that secure and confidential. We do not sell or share your personally identifiable information.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website and will be indicated by the effective date at the beginning of the policy. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
