About the Role
The Diocese of Saint Petersburg is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to serve as the Diocese’s owner’s representative on construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects across our parishes, schools, and diocesan facilities. In this role, you’ll help ensure that the spaces where our communities worship, learn, and serve are built safely, responsibly, and to the highest standards, supporting the Diocese’s mission to Courageously Live the Gospel.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Diocese’s field representative on assigned construction and renovation projects, conducting site visits and evaluating building conditions
- Monitor construction progress for compliance with plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, budgets, and building codes
- Review architectural and engineering documents for constructability and quality
- Inspect work in progress, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective action with contractors and design professionals
- Review change orders, payment applications, and monitor project budgets
- Attend construction and preconstruction meetings; prepare clear project status reports
- Maintain organized project records and coordinate closeout documentation (warranties, permits, certificates of occupancy, etc.)
- Serve as a technical resource to pastors, principals, and parish/school committees throughout the process
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, facilities management, or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant construction/project management experience (equivalent combination of education and experience considered)
- Working knowledge of AIA contracts, Florida Construction Lien Law, and standard construction practices
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/document-management software
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk active job sites, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in outdoor/construction conditions; lift up to 25 lbs
- Professional licensure/certification a plus
Additional Requirements
- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, able to support and act consistently with the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
- Must successfully complete an FDLE Level II Criminal Background screening and meet the Diocese’s Standards of Moral Conduct
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
