Answers to the most frequently asked questions about the 2025 Eucharistic Encounter: Reason for Our Hope

Will the event be perfect?

This event will not be perfect; it is being run by generous volunteers and sponsors that are doing this out of their love for their faith; what will be perfect is that Jesus will be the focus, and that’s what matters. We ask for your patience and understanding that if things are not as smooth as you would have hoped that you forgive us.

Who is this event for?

Anyone who desires a deeper encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist; Catholic or not; all are welcomed!

What time does it start?

Doors open at 12:00 PM. Arrive early! There will be a pre-event gathering in Thunder Alley. Seating is first come, first served.

How long is the event?

The Eucharistic Encounter lasts approximately 9 hours, from 12pm to 9pm; please prepare to participate in the full day’s activities without leaving and returning as seating is not guaranteed.

What will the experience be like?

Mass, Adoration, powerful talks, live music, and thousands united in faith—all in one unforgettable day.

Do I have to be catholic?

No. All are welcome, but we ask all attendees to respect Catholic beliefs and practices.

How do I get a ticket?

Tickets are free, but registration is required. You will receive a QR code for you and those you registered; please present that at the door.

Does my ticket guarantee a seat?

There is no assigned seating. Admission is guaranteed with a ticket, but seats are first come, first served.

Can I sit with my group?

Please arrive early and enter together. No seat saving is allowed due to capacity; we encourage you to coordinate arrival times.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably! It’s a hockey arena with ice under the floor—bring a sweater or jacket if you get cold easily.

Food and Beverage

Food/Beverages are not allowed to be brought into the arena as the arena provides food and beverage through their onsite concessions stands throughout the day.

Where do I park?

Will there be handicap access?

ADA guests can enter the North ADA entrance or the Premium Entrance since both are accessible. The arena has various designated ADA seating sections on all levels.

Will the event be livestreamed?

Yes. EWTN will be broadcasting this event live across the country. EWTN Global Catholic Television Network: Catholic News, TV, Radio | EWTN

What should I bring?

You will receive a QR code for you and your group; please present that at the door.

And most importantly; an open heart to receive what God has for you!

Is there a schedule for the day?

A detailed schedule will be released the day you arrive at the event. You can expect; great speakers, amazing music; mass, adoration and so much more

Can we come late or leave early?

While you can come and go, we encourage staying for the full event to experience the entire encounter and to avoid losing your seat as it could be taken by another person that is waiting outside.

Can I bring my youth group or parish group?

Yes! However; “each” person requires an individual registration we will not be accepting “groups” without individual registrations.

Are there special activities for youth?

The event is intergenerational and activities will be geared for all participants.

Will there be security or first aid?

Yes. Amalie Arena will have security, first aid, and EMTs on site for safety.

Is re-entry allowed if I leave the building?

Yes, but make sure to keep the QR Code issued via email for re-entry; however; if the arena hits capacity while you are out of the facility you would not be able to regain entry until seats opened up.

Are strollers, bags, or backpacks allowed?

Arena policies apply. Small bags may be allowed but will be subject to search. Large backpacks or strollers may have restrictions.

Is there Wi-Fi available?

Amalie Arena may offer limited Wi-Fi, but we recommend downloading your ticket in advance.

Will there be an app or resource guide?

There will be a microsite created especially for phones before the event. Stay tuned on social media.

Will there be follow-up resources or events afterward?

Yes! Follow us on social media for ongoing resources, small groups, and parish events connected to the Encounter.

Do I need to go to confession before coming?

It’s not required, but we encourage preparing your heart through prayer and, if possible, Reconciliation beforehand. Confessions will be available at the event.

Is this event suitable for small children?

This nine-hour event is designed as a mini-retreat and may be challenging for children under 10. It is not recommended for children under 10 or for anyone unable to participate in a full-day experience.
