National TV Program Will Focus on Tampa Bay
Celebrity Chef Father Leo Patalinghug will take his show, Savoring Our Faith, to Tampa Bay. He spends time touring the beautiful Bethany Center, the Diocese of St. Petersburg’s spiritual retreat center. Plus, he prepares a wonderful meal from food grown at a local microgreen farm. Check it out on Friday, April 26th at 5:00 p.m. on EWTN.


DOCAT Workshop
April 27, 2019 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church
The Offices of Hispanic Ministry and of Youth and Young Adult Ministry are collaborating to offer a bilingual training on the DOCAT. This resource contains ways to implement the Social Doctrine of the Church for our youth and young adults.  Cost is $10 per person, which includes meals and a free copy of the DOCAT ($18 value).  CORE team members, DREs, Courageously Living the Gospel implementation teams and parish priests are invited to attend.

Taller del DOCAT

Las oficinas del Ministerio Hispano y del Ministerio de Pastoral Juvenil ofrecerán un taller de capacitación bilingüe sobre el DOCAT.  Este compendio contiene formas para implementar la doctrina social de la Iglesia con los jóvenes. El costo del taller es $10 por persona que incluye comidas y un ejemplar gratis del DOCAT (valor de $18). Equipos de pastoral juvenil, directores de educación religiosa, comités para implementar la visión de Vivir Valientemente el Evangelio y sacerdotes están invitados al taller.

Women Discernment Day
The Office of Vocations is happy to once again host a Discernment Day for Women.  It will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm at the Pastoral Center (6363 9th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida).

Lunch will be provided and there is no cost to you.  For more information please see flyer at this link.  All women, high school juniors and older, are welcome and invited to attend this opportunity for lunch, conversation and adoration with religious women from around the diocese.

The Martyrs of La Florida Missions Receive Grant
The Martyrs of La Florida Missions extend prayers of gratitude for the generous grant from “In God We Trust Foundation” for support of our curriculum project to share stories of faith, evangelization and martyrdom with all Catholic schools in Florida. Summer Adventure – Good Counsel Camp, our Diocesan youth camp located in Floral City, Florida, is looking for counselors for this summer’s sessions.  Do you enjoy working with children?  Do you enjoy adventure and challenges?  If so, working as a camp counselor may be for you.  We are looking for young men and women who will be at least 17 years of age by this summer.  For an application, contact Father James Johnson at 4301 W. Family Deliverance Growth Retreat
The Family Deliverance Growth Retreat will be held at the Divine Mercy Prayer Center in Plant City, Florida from April 26 – 28 in English. This is a “family-focused” retreat for self-renewal based on the Word of God, Bible-based teachings of the Catholic Church, Holy Mass, Confessions, Praise and Worship Sessions and prayers for Inner and Physical Healing during Eucharistic Adoration. Everyone is welcome. We encourage the whole family to attend. There is no fee. Lunch will be provided. Prior registration is required.
