Building Intercultural Competence for Ministers (BICM) Workshops
Presented by the Multicultural Ministry and Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute offices of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.  BICM is an initiative from the USCCB Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church designed to introduce ministry leaders to a basic awareness and proficiency in the area of intercultural competency. The BICM workshops will equip missionary disciples from parishes and diocesan ministries to COURAGEOUSLY LIVE THE GOSPEL when sharing their faith by Proclaiming, Inviting and Encountering Jesus Christ while engaging with people of all ages, national and cultural backgrounds. Cost of $10.00 includes continental breakfast.

Sunday Gospel Reflection by Bishop Gregory Parkes Now Available for Bulletins
Invitation to Worship, the bishop’s Sunday Gospel reflection that airs on Spirit FM 90.5 is now available to be published in your church’s bulletin starting March 1, 2020. Parishes can receive the reflection via email (about 250 words) as a Word document or PDF along with an associated image or graphic. The reflections will be made available in English and Spanish two weeks before the date of your bulletin’s publication.

Spring 2020 Stewardship Workshop Series – Workshop 2 Announced!
Workshop 2, titled Why Stewardship And Hospitality Are The Keys To Transforming Your Parish, will focus on intentional hospitality and stewardship planning for the growth of our parishes, and how they relate to Discipleship and Evangelization. This event will take place on March 4th at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in the Parish Hall, located at 2405 Philippe Parkway, Safety Harbor, Florida.

40 Hours of Exposition at Our Lady of Lourdes, Dunedin
Join us for 40 Hours of Exposition beginning with Mass on Thursday, March 14th, followed by the Exposition. The concluding liturgies begin at 9 am on March 16th and include readings, procession through the “Totally Yours” Festival on the grounds, and Benediction. Memorial candles will be offered for purchase and will be lit in honor of loved ones. Names will be included on the 40 Hours banner.

The 9th Annual Parish Women’s Retreat is set for Saturday, February 22nd in the Parish Fellowship Hall from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. The event is open to all women and their women friends. The theme of the event “Her Name is Judith, Instrument of the Lord”.

The facilitator and speaker of the retreat is Dr. Charmaine Carter, RCIA Director, for the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, St. Petersburg and a leader of retreats in the area since 2019. Dr. Carter practiced medicine in St. Petersburg as a primary care physician until her retirement in 2019. She has a Master’s degree in Theology and certificates of Bible Study and Liturgy.

Saint Mary, Our Lady of Grace Winter Concert Series 2020 and 100th anniversary
“OPERA for ALL!” presented by the St. Petersburg Opera Company
Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 3:00 pm
The 10th annual Winter Concert Series at Saint Mary, Our Lady of Grace parish concludes with favorite singers from the St. Petersburg Opera Company, under the direction of Maestro Mark Sforzini.   “Opera for All” features beloved pieces from classic operas, and will be a masterful conclusion to the 10th annual concert series.
This one-hour concert is FREE and open to all.  In addition, a free tour of the church will be offered at the conclusion of the concert, in celebration of the Centennial Year of this historic parish.
