DISCERNMENT GROUP BEGINS JUNE 13
The Office of Vocations will be offering a new discernment group for men called Vocatus.  The first meeting will be on June 13 at 6:30 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Petersburg.  The group will be led by Fr. Religious Freedom Week ~ June 22-29, 2018
U.S. Catholics can pray and act in support of religious liberty at home and abroad during Serving Others in God’s Love: Religious Freedom Week 2018, which begins on June 22, the Feast of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher, and ends on June 29, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. Resources for this week, including a bulletin insert, social media content, and backgrounders reflect on the importance of religious freedom to carrying out our mission of service and mercy, can be found at this link.

 Sign the “Catholics Are Still In” Climate Declaration
The Catholic Climate Covenant has developed a  “Catholics are Still In” Declaration (see Declaration at this link) in solidarity with the We Are Still In campaign, a U.S. civil society response to the Administration’s announced U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.  Sign on in order to express the U.S. Catholic community’s commitment to pray for, and act towards a thriving future with our family and the gift of God’s creation.

 Special Children, Blessed Fathers
The Office of Life, Justice and Advocacy has obtained a few copies of the book, Special Children, Blessed Fathers: Encouragement for fathers of children with special needs.  Please contact us if you would like a copy for your parish or for a special father in your community. sab@dosp.org; 727-344-1611 *5325.

YOUTH VIDEO CONTEST
The Diocese of St. Petersburg celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2018. Teens have an opportunity to learn about the history of their local Church through a video contest that answers the question: “Why I love the Church.” The best videos will be featured on the diocesan website and played at the Family Faith Fest on October 27, 2018. SAVE THE DATE FOR THE FAMILY FAITH FEST OCTOBER 27, 2018
Mark your calendar to join Bishop Gregory Parkes for the Family Faith Fest at  Al Lopez Park in Tampa on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018. To celebrate our 50th anniversary, the Diocese of St. Petersburg is hosting a music and faith festival that includes Confession, Eucharistic Adoration, and the celebration of Mass. Two stages will feature live music and entertainment, plus much more! This is a free event, open to all. www.FamilyFaithFest.org. BayCare is a presenting sponsor.

SUMMER FEST, WELCOMING PROSPECTIVE ST. LEO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, FAMILIES
Saint Leo University is hosting Summer Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, June 23, at main campus, 33701 State Road 52, St. Leo, FL 33574. Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of music, food, fun, and sun.

Guests will participate in activities and prepare for the coming semester while exploring campus life. Summer Fest is open to students who have committed to attending this fall, those who are still making their college decision, and those who may be interested in attending Saint Leo in the future.

There is no cost for this event, and friends and family are welcome. Register at this link.
