The Silent Song World Premiere – September 24 at 7:00 PM Christ the King Catholic Church will host the world premiere of The Silent Song, a new short film telling the story of Florida Martyr Father Luis Cáncer. The film is a project of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Studios.

The premiere will take place on Thursday, September 24, at 7:00 p.m. at the McLoughlin Center ABC at Christ the King. Writer and director Josh Mauro will be in attendance, and light refreshments will be served. The event will conclude at 8:00 p.m.

Join Christ the King for this special premiere celebrating the story of one of Florida’s martyrs.

The Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi
Come celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi, commemorating his passing into eternal life. Fr. Randy Roberts, OFM will lead this service sponsored by St. Anthony of Padua Secular Franciscan Fraternity, on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, 5815 5th Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Annual White Mass – Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM

This mass will be celebrated by Bishop Gregory Parkes on for physicians, medical students, and other healthcare professionals in our diocese. The location is Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel at Christ the King Church in Tampa.

Dinner will follow at the church’s McLaughlin Center with a presentation by Sam Goodwin, bestselling author and inspirational speaker, who will share his personal survival story “A Test of Faith”.  Event is organized by the Tampa Bay Guild of the Catholic Medical Association (CMA).

2026 Eternal Light Award Dinner
Reflections on the Challenge and Promise of Catholic-Jewish Relations Today

Join us for an evening of reflection on the challenge and promise of Catholic-Jewish relations today. We will recognize positive developments in Catholic-Jewish dialogue and consider the challenges in the work ahead. Your presence and support at the CCJS Eternal Light Award Dinner provides interreligious education for hundreds of students and community members and advances scholarship in Catholic-Jewish relations.

The 45th Annual Ukrainian Autumn Festival will take place on November 14–15, 2026 at Epiphany of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church in St. Petersburg

This annual festival is a wonderful opportunity for the Tampa Bay community to experience Ukrainian faith, culture, traditional food, music, dancing, crafts, and fellowship. It is also an important event for the parish and helps allow them to continue parish ministries and support for Ukraine.
