Ribbon Cutting and Blessing

Sunday, December 7, 2014 – The Bishops of the Province of Florida joined together on  Sunday, December 7, 2014 for the ribbon cutting and blessing for the two new dormitories at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary. The St. John Paul II Residence Hall has a total of 76 new seminarian rooms in two new wings (38 rooms in each).

This construction and renovation has been made possible through the Forward in Faith Campaign.  As part of the campaign, $5 million is dedicated to the entire building project at the seminary and increasing the endowment.  The full project includes:

  • two new residential wings (dormitories) to meet increased enrollment
  • renovation to the existing dorm rooms to address salt air deterioration and to provide updated private space accommodations
  • renovation to the field house to expand community gathering areas
