TAMPA, Fla. — Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Saint Petersburg, will celebrate a blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony of Mercy Oaks II, a new affordable housing community that expands housing opportunities for individuals transitioning out of homelessness. 

Located adjacent to Mercy Oaks I, which opened in 2022, the new single-story apartment building provides additional permanent affordable housing for individuals experiencing or transitioning out of homelessness. The project reflects the Diocese of Saint Petersburg’s commitment to Courageously Living the Gospel by expanding access to affordable housing throughout the community.

WHAT: Blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Mercy Oaks II, a new 17-unit affordable housing community. Following the ceremony, members of the media will have the opportunity to tour an occupied apartment unit and learn more about the impact of Mercy Oaks II on residents and the surrounding community.
