The Diaconate Office informs of the passing of Deacon John “Jack” Lyons, 88, of All Saints Parish, Clearwater, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, after health complications.  He has served the Diocese of Saint Petersburg for 29 years, retiring a few years ago because of declining health.    Deacon Lyons was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, three children, and six grandchildren.

The family has scheduled a Visitation at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, 1750 Curlew Road in Palm Harbor,  on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:30- 10:30 a.m.  The Funeral Mass will follow, on the same day, at All Saints Catholic Church, 2801 Curlew Rd, Clearwater, at 11:30 a.m.  After the Funeral Mass, Deacon Jack will be cremated; interment will be scheduled after the cremation is complete.   Deacons wishing to vest should bring their alb and White and Gold Dalmatic.
