Disaster Relief Donations after Hurricane Harvey

Posted inLocal News

The Tampa Bay area was blessed to be spared the full force of Hurricane Irma, but other areas have been severely impacted by natural disasters.

Your donations and prayers are greatly needed to provide humanitarian and pastoral support to our brothers and sisters who were directly in the path of Irma and other natural disasters that have devastated communities. The money being collected by the Diocese of St. Petersburg is for a disaster relief fund – all of which will be used to provide aid for recent natural disasters as well as those that will occur in the future, as determined by Bishop Parkes.

Loving God, we pray for those who have been affected by recent disasters especially the floods and winds that have ravaged parts of Florida, Texas and the Caribbean.  We also pray for all those around the world who suffer from floods, droughts and disasters. Break open our hearts to allow the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters to move us to bold, prophetic action so that all victims will know of your great love, mercy and compassion.
