Holy Family Students Honor Loved Ones That Have Passed
Posted inEducation, Schools & Centers
Holy Family Catholic School celebrated El Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead) by creating a school-wide altar to honor our loved ones that have passed on. Kindergarten flowers to 4th grade skulls represented artwork associated with this holiday. 5th grade through 7th grade contributed by making commemorative skulls, picture frames and masks dedicated to a relative. 8th grade wrote about a relative that they wanted to honor with a token or picture representing that person. This beautiful holiday allowed us to appreciate the differences in our cultures and share happy memories!
