Liturgical & Ministry Coordinator

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church is seeking a part-time Liturgical & Ministry Coordinator. This hourly position averages 24 hours per week and works under the supervision of the Director of Parish Operations. The typical work week will be Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Occasional evenings and Saturdays.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Comfortable coordinating sacramental and liturgical ministries

• Willingness to work occasional Saturday and evenings for special events

• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing needs

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ability to learn Ministry Platform Program

Job Duties

Ministry Coordination

• Serve as Altar Server Ministry Coordinator

• Act as Youth Ministry Liaison

• Oversee Safe Environment compliance for Altar Servers and Youth Ministry

• Coordinate the Washing Angels Ministry

• Support Art & Environment Ministry

• Update Legacy Ministry Window quarterly

New Parishioner Responsibilities

• Oversee and set up weekly the Welcome & Information Table on Sunday mornings

• Prepare and send new parishioner welcome letters and make welcome calls

• Assist in planning and coordinating quarterly New Parishioner Welcome Events

Liturgical & Sacramental Support

• Coordinate Weddings & Rehearsals, partnering with the Lead Wedding Coordinator

• Assist with Funerals as needed

Fingerprinting & Safe Environment

• Serve as fingerprinting coordinator

• Confirm Safe Environment fingerprint appointments

Administrative & Parish Support

• Support the Offertory Count weekly and serve as backup coordinator

• Change Scripture Message on outside Parish Center sign weekly

• Provide front-desk/reception support and phone rollover coverage

• Provide general staff and administrative support as assigned

Additional Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Candidate must successfully pass Level II FBI Background Screening and complete Safe Environment Training.
