Status: Full time /non-exempt
Position Summary:
General maintenance and overall handyman for the buildings and equipment on church property. The technician reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.
Skills Required:
- Ability to lift 50 lb.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel and stand for periods of time
- Knowledge of basic tools
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow instructions
- Ability to work with minimal direction and be self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED minimum
- One year maintenance technician experienced preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Catholic belief and liturgy
- Ability to effectively interact with others including staff, volunteers and visitors
Candidate must successfully pass a Level II FBI background screening and complete Safe Environment Training prior to employment.
