The Music Accompanist will work directly with the Music Director as part of the Music Ministry team. While a degree in Music is preferred, it is not necessary if the right candidate demonstrates strong proficiency skills on the organ and piano during the audition process. Practice of the Catholic faith is required. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner consistent with and supportive of the Church’s mission and purpose. Their public behavior must not violate the Church’s faith, morals, or laws, or the archdiocese’s policies.

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to be collaborative with the Music Director and the Pastor.

Candidate will be required to play at the following:

  • 4 Masses per weekend (4PM Saturday, 8, 10, 11:30 AM Masses Sunday)
  • Christmas Eve (4, 6, 11PM Masses) and Christmas Day (10 AM)
  • Masses on Holy Days of Obligation (3 Masses per day- 8:30, 12 Noon and 7PM)
  • Selected Feast Day Masses (such as St. Patrick and St. Francis- 1Mass at 8:30AM)
  • Benediction at the Feast of Divine Mercy
  • Annual Christmas Concert
  • Triduum and Easter Masses (3 Masses on Easter Sunday)
  • Wednesday evening choir rehearsals from late August through Pentecost Sunday. 

In addition:

  • All funeral and wedding Masses will be offered to the Music Accompanist first. The pay ($150 for funerals, $175 for weddings) is separate from regular salary.
  • There is an additional $150 stipend if asked to play at 5PM Sunday Mass

Candidate must successfully pass a Level II FBI background check and attend Safe Environment Training.

This position is considered part-time, salaried, and does not offer benefits.
