Apostles of the Eucharist Young Adult group is hosting our 3rd annual retreat from July 20 – July 21 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tampa.  Young adults ages 18 – 25 are invited to an amazing weekend to grow in their faith, foster new friendships and take time away from hectic schedules to relax and listen to God’s direction for their lives.  The theme “Mounting the Summit” focuses on the obstacles that young adults face in our world today and the tools the Church offers to overcome them.

You will enjoy amazing speakers:  Sr. Mary Jackson, FMA, the principal of Villa Madonna School, will speak on the topic, “What is Your Mountain?”   What obstacles are you struggling with in your life?  The discernment process is very important in pinpointing the mountain you wish to climb this weekend.  Our second speaker, Fr. Bill Swengros,  pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church in Tampa will share on the topic, “Start Climbing!”  As a mountain climber himself, Fr. Bill will discuss the tools needed to climb mountains and the tools the Church gives us to make the climb to overcome our obstacles.   Our young adult speaker, Lindsey Valancius, will share an obstacle she has overcome, how she did it and where she is now.  Finally, Fr. George Dunne, SSS, a priest from the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament will speak about,”Reaching the Summit”.  When God gives you the grace to reach the top of the summit, what will life be like?  Peter, James and John had a mountaintop experience with Jesus during the Transfiguration.  They wanted to pitch a tent and stay on the summit forever.  Is that possible?

These phenomenal speakers will help to guide you on your journey to the summit! You will be blessed with opportunities for Mass, Reconciliation, Adoration, fellowship and more! Come and meet other young adults from our diocese and build friendships that could last a lifetime!  The price for the retreat is only $50.  Please contact Valerie Merimee for more information:  merimee@verizon.net
