The Chancellor’s Office was saddened to learn that Mr. Bartholomeo Tham Nguyen, 65, brother of Reverend Viet Nguyen, Pastor of Holy Martyrs of Vietnam Parish, St. Petersburg, passed away tragically on Friday, September 11, 2026 in Vietnam after being swept away by flood waters during the torrential storms affecting the nation and surrounding areas.

Please keep Mr. Nguyen’s family in your kind thoughts and prayers during this most heartbreaking time and kindly pray for Father Nguyen as he travels to Vietnam to accompany his family members and to celebrate the Funeral Mass for his brother.
