Word reached the Chancellor’s Office of the passing of Mrs. Maria Nwando Agbata, 92, on Thursday, August 7, 2025 in Nigeria.  Mrs. Agbata is the mother of Reverend Alexander Agbata, Chaplain at St. Joseph Hospital, Tampa.  Father Agbata is known to several of the Tampa-area priests for having provided weekend assistance in their parishes.

Funeral services will take place in Nigeria on November 14, 2025.
