Reverend Guy Morgan, OFM
May 31, 1926 – March 10, 2017
Father Guy Morgan, O.F.M., 91, passed away in the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2017.  Since 1997, he has resided at St. Anthony Friary, St. Petersburg.  Father Morgan entered the Franciscan Order in 1948 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1954.  During his nearly 63 years of priestly ministry, he served in numerous parishes and spent twenty years as an Air Force chaplain, having retired from military service, after having achieved the rank of Colonel.  Father Morgan is survived by his sister, Joan O’Connor, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 515 Fourth Street S., St. Petersburg.  Visitation will be held one hour before the Mass begins.  Burial will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, immediately following the funeral.


Sister Mary Henrietta Manucy, SSJ
January 6, 1931 – March 10, 2017
Sr. Manucy born in St. Augustine, FL, passed away on March 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Convent, St. Augustine.  She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph order in 1948 and ministered in Florida until 2000, when she moved to Our Lady of Lourdes Convent.  Locally, she served as a teacher at St. Peter Claver School in Tampa.

Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral Basilica on March 13. Funeral Mass will be held in the Cathedral Basilica at 10 a.m. on March 14.   In lieu of flowers, please send donations to support the ministries of the Sisters of St. Joseph, P.O. Box 3506, St. Augustine, FL 32085.
