Reverend Raymond O’Neill
We are saddened to announce that Father Raymond O’Neill passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Brooksville Regional Hospital. He is survived by his brother, Dr. William O’Neill, Ireland.

Father O’Neill was ordained July 3, 1966, in the Archdiocese ofDublin for the Congregation of the Holy Spirit. In 1992, he was incardinated in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. From 2001 he served as pastor at St. Joan of Arc until his retirement in 2014. Previous assignments include Our Lady of Lourdes, Dunedin; Cathedral of St. Jude, St. Petersburg; Sacred Heart, Dade City, and Most Holy Name of Jesus, Gulfport.

All services were celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Parish, Spring Hill. Funeral Mass was celebrated today, May 18 at 10:30 am followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clearwater.

Father O’Neill was a hard worker in the Vineyard of the Lord and he will be greatly missed. May he now delight in the fullness of life with God, whom he served so faithfully. Please remember Father Raymond O’Neill in your Masses and prayers.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in eternal peace.
