USCCB President Reacts to “Unspeakable Violence” in Orlando

A statement from Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

WASHINGTON – Waking up to the unspeakable violence in Orlando reminds us of how precious human life is. Our prayers are with the victims, their families and all those affected by this terrible act. The merciful love of Christ calls us to solidarity with the suffering and to ever greater resolve in protecting the life and dignity of every person. (USCCB website)

Our Bishop, Most Rev. Robert N. Lynch, has also expressed his heartfelt sorrow for the victims that passed and praying for the recovery of the survivors, on his most current blog.

Tonight at 7 PM, Bishop Noonan will lead a Prayer Vigil at St. James Cathedral in Orlando.  Let’s keep in thought and in prayers our brothers and sisters in Orlando.
