The Chancellor’s Office received notice of the passing of Reverend Julio Rivero, T.O.R., 96 years old, a member of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis for 56 years, on July 11, 2025. He was in hospice care at Saint Francis Friary, Loretto, PA.

Father Julio served in our Diocese as Parochial Vicar of St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Parish, St. Petersburg, from 1988 – 1992; St. John Vianney Parish, St. Petersburg, from 1992 – 2002 and after serving as Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Bradenton, from 2012 – 2008; he came back to St. Mary Our Lady of Grace, as Parochial Vicar from 2009 – 2013.  He was well known by many for his healing ministry and frequently visited our diocese to celebrate healing Masses.

All funeral services will take place on the campus of Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA on July 18 and 19, 2025.
