TAMPA, Fla. — Spirit FM Radio WBVM, the Tampa Bay Area’s longtime source for uplifting Christian music and faith-filled programming, will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Tuesday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, located at 821 S. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33609. Bishop Gregory Parkes will celebrate a special anniversary Mass as part of the celebration.

Licensed to Tampa, Spirit FM WBVM is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Saint Petersburg and broadcasts Christian adult contemporary music that has inspired listeners throughout the Tampa Bay community for four decades.

The anniversary celebration will honor the station’s history of faith, service, and community connection and recognize the many listeners, supporters, clergy, staff, and volunteers who have helped make Spirit FM a trusted voice in Christian broadcasting. 

“For 40 years, Spirit FM has helped keep the Tampa Bay community informed about the local Church, taught the faith, and provided encouragement through the events of the world,” said John Morris, Station Director of Spirt FM. “We’ve learned that music speaks directly to the hearts of listeners, and that uplifting, faith-filled programming can have a lasting impact on families and individuals alike.”
