St. Petersburg Catholic High School has been approved as a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.  The school is now pursuing authorization as an IB World School.  IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education, which St. Petersburg Catholic believes is important for its students.

“The International Baccalaureate program will build on the legacy of quality teaching and learning here at St. Petersburg Catholic High School,” Principal Ross Bubolz said. “We are excited to partner with IB to advance the mission of the school and to increase educational opportunities in the greater St. Petersburg community.”

St. Petersburg Catholic will begin the candidacy phase at the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
