Week of caring FB post finalSeptember 30, 2016 –  From September 17 to September 24, the Catholic schools and centers of the Diocese of St. Petersburg partnered with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay for CareFest 2016. Students joined thousands of volunteers across Pinellas, Hillsborough, Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties to help the local community during the week of service.

Projects included everything from school maintenance days at Blessed Sacrament in Seminole (featured photo) and St. Peter Claver in Tampa, to backpack packing events at Tampa Catholic High School with 760 students pitching in, to volunteer work at Metropolitan Ministries’ Food Warehouse for the 8th graders at St. Stephen Catholic School in Valrico.
