The Diaconate Office has been informed that Deacon Joseph (Joe) P.  Reid, 95, from St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Palm Harbor, passed away peacefully on the night of September 16, 2023.  Deacon Reid was ordained to the diaconate for the Diocese of Rockville Center in 1988 and came to the Diocese of St. Petersburg in 2004, where he was assigned to St. Luke the Evangelist Parish.  He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, in 2012. 

Visitation and Evening Prayer will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor.  

A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2757 Alderman Road, Palm Harbor, followed by burial at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118^th Avenue N. , Clearwater.
