The diocesan Vocations Office has shared with our office that Mr. Norman Paul Dusseault, Sr., 93, passed away in the Lord on Monday, February 26, 2024.  Mr. Dusseault was a strong supporter of vocations to the priesthood and was a founding member of the Serra Club in the Diocese of St. Petersburg (Note: The organization is named in honor of the Spanish missionary St. Junipero Serra. It is sometimes confused with the “Sierra Club,” an environmental organization).

Mr. Dusseault was an active parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle and later at St. Paul Parish, St. Petersburg.  In 2016, at the nomination of Bishop Robert Lynch, he was honored with the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Award by Pope Francis.

Please keep Mr. Dusseault’s children, grandchildren, and all surviving family members and loved ones in your kind thoughts and prayers.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace!
