Beginning the Year of Mercy
Posted inLocal News
The Year of Mercy officially begins on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which is Tuesday, December 8. To kick off the Year of Mercy, a Holy Door of Mercy will be opened at Cathedrals around the world, including our Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle!
During the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 13, Bishop Lynch will be opening the Holy Door of Mercy to the public, with the chance for people to walk through it after Mass.
This Door of Mercy will be available for people to walk through during the Year of Mercy, which goes through Sunday, November 20. Throughout the year, you are invited to make a pilgrimage to the Cathedral to walk through the Door of Mercy.
