With St. Patrick’s Day falling on a Friday (March 17, 2017) during the Lenten Season, Bishop Gregory Parkes is granting to the faithful of the Diocese of St. Petersburg a dispensation from abstaining from meat on that Friday alone. The faithful are encouraged to choose another day in the same week or as soon as possible to abstain from meat to assist in their spiritual Lenten journey.
